Brian Lafontaine

Public Speaking Coach.

EASY RELATABILITY.

Radical Reliability.

Public Speaking Doesn’t Have to Feel Like Punishment

(aka “How to stop dreading it & start owning it.”)

You don’t have to white-knuckle your way through it.
You don’t have to become someone you’re not.
And you definitely don’t have to relive the trauma of your 4th-grade book report.

I help people speak with confidence, clarity, and character — without losing their personality in the process.

After more than 30 years as an actor, performer, director, and coach, I’ve seen it all:
I’ve brought audiences to their feet.
I’ve helped clients blow the roof off their TEDx talks.
I’ve also completely wiped out by making it all about me — and forgetting every word I prepared.

That’s how I know what really works:
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about connection.
It’s about making it about your audience — not you.

The Year Was 1976…

(Yes, that was a real year. People actually existed back then.)

America’s bicentennial.
I was six years old, standing in front of my entire school, dressed as Paul Revere — tricorne hat, black cape, pant legs stuffed into my socks to look like knickers.

I delivered my speech perfectly. Every word. The place went wild.

Was I a public speaking prodigy? No.
My mom just drilled me on that speech until I could say it in my sleep.

You’re not six anymore — and thankfully, nobody’s making you dress up like Paul Revere.
But the stakes are higher now.
You have something to say.
And your audience deserves to hear it — clearly, confidently, and from the real you.

What We Can Work On Together

  • Public Speaking & Presentations — Own the room without turning into someone you’re not.
  • TEDx & High-Stakes Talks — Blow the roof off without blowing your cool.
  • Ceremonial Speeches & Toasts — Make ‘em laugh, make ‘em cry, make ‘em cheer (for the right reasons).
  • Corporate Presentations — Say goodbye to anxiety gaffes, sweaty shirts, and accidental f-bombs — and hello to confident, connected delivery.

Why Work With Me?

Because I’ve stood where you’re standing.
I’ve felt the nerves. I’ve had the wins. I’ve had the wipeouts.
And I know how to help you bring your audience to their feet — and actually enjoy the process.

Helping you be unapologetically YOU. On purpose and out loud.

Ready to Stop Dreading It & Start Owning It?

Let’s make sure your audience remembers you — for all the right reasons.

That speech was everything! Brian made us laugh, cry, remember, and moved us to action.

Elena, Co-Founder & CAO @ LUMO

Wow! This workshop exceeded all of my expectations. The in the room exercises were both challenging and skill building. Every single participant grew in their public speaking skills right before our eyes. My favorite part was Brian’s passion and kindness in the process. He was never harsh in his feedback (as I’ve seen before) and created a safe and fun environment. A+++
